Ocean Kin Fused Glass Art

A family of orcas glides through luminous blue water in Ocean Kin, a one-of-a-kind fused glass art plate handcrafted by Linda Simmon.

Three black-and-white orcas move across the glass in different directions, creating the feeling of an active pod swimming together beneath the surface. Their smooth, dimensional forms stand out against layers of transparent, turquoise, and ocean-blue glass. Sweeping variations in the background suggest changing currents, sunlight filtering through water, and the beautiful movement of the sea.

Linda added small clear glass bubbles throughout the scene, creating the impression of air rising toward the surface.
